The Auger Bit is crafted of high carbon steel, with full length heat treatment which guards against bending in heavy-duty applications. This bit features a screw-threaded center point for precise bit location and for fast self-starting of the hole. A single outer cutting spur ensures splinter-free drilling and clean holes while the wide lands keep the bit straight as it bores through the hole. All TerMight Series bits come packed in a protective tube, which makes it convenient to carry through a customer's home and keeps your bit in tip-top shape. Ever wonder why most drill bit companies charge extra for wire retrieval holes at the end of their drill bits? Well, we did too! That's why all our TerMight bits offer a small hole at the tip of each drill bit for retrieving the wire (at no extra cost).
